Aivy is suitable for beginning sewists. Every part of the construction is explained clearly and step by step in the instructions. If you choose to create a bikini or tankini with the Aivy pattern, this might be more challenging due to the more slippery fabric.

Suggested material for the Aivy underwear set
To create an Aivy, we suggest to use lighter to medium weight knit fabrics with at least 30% stretch like: cotton lycra, jersey, bamboo spandex or cotton spandex. Keep in mind that you might need to size up if you choose to use a thicker fabric or a fabric type with less stretch than recommended. The pattern is also perfectly suitable to be made with swim, supplex, power mesh or lycra.
For the bands you can choose to use either ribbing or use the same fabric as the dress (main fabric) and you can also choose your desired construction method for the bands. The Aivy comes with pattern pieces for the different types of fabrics and constructions. You can also choose to make the bands with stretchy prefolded bias tape or fold over elastic.

Aivy has been designed according to the pink kids size chart. The pattern runs from size newborn (50) up to size 14y (164). Always measure your model and use trunk and inseam measurements to choose the correct length and rise.
