Hanae has the perfect half circle skirt

Hanae has shirt length, dress with a gathered or a half circle skirt. This chic skirt style asks for less fabric than a full circle skirt, but creates a classy look. Of course the skirts some of the other FAB For You dresses fit on the Hanae bodice, so if you for example prefer a full circle skirt or the skirt with the exposed ruffle you can grab the skirt of the Veanne.

Skill Level for the Hanae Shirt and Dress

Hanae is suitable for adventurous beginners. Creating a nice and crisp v-neckline is a challenging feature and attaching the bow or ruffle neckline also asks for some concentration. However, every part of the construction is explained clearly and step by step in the instructions. So if you’re up for sewing an interesting shirt or dress: give Hanae a go!

Suggested material for the Hanae Shirt and Dress

To create a Hanae Shirt and Dress, we suggest to use medium weight knit fabrics with at least 30% stretch like: cotton lycra, jersey, interlock or french terry. You can also use a more light weight knit fabric like cotton spandex, but keep in mind that you might need to size down if you choose to use a thinner fabric or a fabric type with more stretch than recommended. We don’t recommend the use of light weight fabric for the bodice when making the dress length. The weight of the skirt will pull down the top, which influences the fit of the top.

For the bands you can choose to use either ribbing or use the same fabric as the dress (main fabric). The Hanae Shirt and Dress comes with pattern pieces for the different types of fabrics, but you might need to adjust depending on the amount of stretch and recovery if you choose a different type of fabric for the bands.

Hanae has been designed according to the pink kids size chart. The pattern runs from size newborn (50) up to size 14y (164). Always measure your model and use trunk and inseam measurements to choose the correct length.
