Kim skort (NB-14Y)

The Kim skort is a versatile and sporty sewing pattern with fun options to wear it for sports or play. The pattern includes two skirt lengths: mini or mid thigh and features a plain version or one with colorblocked side panels. Combine this with your favorite length of leggings to create a FAB skort. For leggings you can choose between shorts, knee, capri, or long length. With all the leggings to choose from, you can wear Kim the entire year round! Take the shortest length skirt and legging for the ultimate sports skort and rock it while performing your favorite sports! Or take the longer length and the shortest leggings to enable unlimited playing possibilities without the risk of showing your underwear. (Which kid doesn’t like tumble bars?!) The pattern includes low and high yoga waistbands to suit every preference. Whether you’re sewing for everyday wear or active play, Kim will have your back.

Kim is beginner-friendly and a great project for those new to sewing. The colorblocked side stripe and attaching all layers together might be the trickiest part, but nothing that can’t be done without sewing experience! Suggested material for the Kim skort

For the Kim skort, we advise to use medium weight knit fabrics with at least 40% 4-way stretch like: supplex, cotton lycra, jersey, athletic, lycra, performance. Keep in mind that you might need to size up if you choose to use a thicker fabric or a fabric type with less stretch than recommended. If you’re using a lighter fabric, the fit may be looser than intended.

Kim has been designed according to the pink kids size chart. The pattern runs from size newborn (50) up to size 14y (164). Always measure your model and use trunk and inseam measurements to choose the correct length for rise and legs.
