Veanne Shirt & Dress (NB-14Y)

The Veanne shirt and dress is a FAB staple shirt and a dress PDF sewing pattern with wonderful gathered statement sleeves. You can choose from various sleeve lengths, so the Veanne is a true must-have in your kid’s closet. The Veanne has a fitted t-shirt option and several dress options. For the dress you can choose from a gathered skirt and gathered skirt with ruffled hem, both with fun exposed seam or with an elastic waistband. Prefer a more twirly skirt? Then you’ll be looking at the full circle skirt with or without elastic waistband. There’s always a Veanne for someone!

Veanne is interchangeable

If you thought the Veanne was already so full of options you’ll be having a hard time deciding what to make. The even better part is that the Veanne Shirt and Dress pattern is also interchangeable with some other Fab For You sewing patterns. This enables mix-and-matching to the max! Skill Level for the Veanne Shirt and Dress

Veanne is perfectly suitable for the advanced beginner. Every part of the construction is explained clearly and step by step in the instructions. However, the sleeves are somewhat interesting and option B and D of the skirt are as well. When following the instructions, the construction will be great for advanced (or adventurous) beginners.

Suggested material for the Veanne shirt and dress

To create a Veanne Shirt and Dress, we suggest to use medium weight knit fabrics with at least 30% stretch like: cotton lycra, jersey, interlock or french terry. You can also use a more light weight knit fabric like cotton spandex, but keep in mind that you might need to size down if you choose to use a thinner fabric or a fabric type with more stretch than recommended.

For the bands you can choose to use either ribbing or use the same fabric as the dress or shirt (main fabric). The Veanne Shirt and Dress comes with pattern pieces for the different types of fabrics, but you might need to adjust depending on the amount of stretch and recovery if you choose a different type of fabric for the bands.

Other notions:

You’ll need (Clear) elastic with a maximal width of 3/8″ (1 cm). For the skirt option with visible elastic you’ll need a fun elastic. This elastic will stay on the outside of the dress.

Pink Fab For You Patterns kids size chart

Veanne has been designed according to the pink kids size chart. The pattern runs from size newborn (50) up to size 14y (164). Always measure your model and use trunk measurements to choose the correct length for the top and inseam length for the skirt.
