The Ivan Shirt and Sweater is a sewing pattern to create a stylish shirt or Sweater with the awesome colorblocks that resemble the colorblocks of the Vernon cardigan. Ivan has a basic crew neck and a more challenging sharp v-neck. Ivan also has two sleeve lengths and options like extra waist and arm bands to create a sweater and as a bonus it has thumb hole cuffs. Suggested material for the Ivan Shirt and Sweater
To create an Ivan Shirt and Sweater, we suggest to use medium weight knit fabrics with at least 30% stretch like: French terry, (summer) sweat or interlock. You can also use a more light weight knit fabric like cotton lycra, but keep in mind that you might need to size down if you choose to use a thinner fabric or a fabric type with more stretch than recommended.
For the bands you can choose to use either ribbing or use the same fabric as the shirt (main fabric). The Ivan Shirt and Sweater comes with pattern pieces for the different types of fabrics, but you might need to adjust depending on the amount of stretch and recovery if you choose a different type of fabric for the bands.

Ivan has been designed according to the blue kids size chart. The pattern runs from size newborn (50) up to size 16y (176). Always measure your model and use trunk and inseam measurements to choose the correct length.
