The Jaxx Shirt is a PDF sewing pattern with tons of (colorblock) options. Jaxx has a basic crew neck or a sophisticated v-neck. Jaxx features a rounded hem, but don’t be scared! The rounded back is actually pretty easy to make and enables the possibility to wear the shirt slightly longer. The back features the typical colorblock which you can also find on the sleeves. The pattern features short or long sleeves. If one colorblock on the back and sleeves isn’t enough, you can also add another smaller stripe to the colorblocks.
Jaxx is a unisex pattern, but to give the Jaxx just that extra possible girly touch, there’s an option to add ruched colorblocks instead of normal colorblocks.
Don’t worry if you reaching the end of the size range: there’s also a Jaxx adult available.
Jaxx Shirt is interchangeable
If you don’t think the Jaxx has enough colorblock options, you can combine the pattern with the Finn shirt. Jaxx and Finn are interchangeable. This way you can create an even more colorblocked shirt or a more plain version.

Suggested material for the Jaxx Shirt
To create a Jaxx Shirt, we suggest to use medium weight knit fabrics with at least 30% stretch like: cotton lycra, jersey, French terry, (summer) sweat, sponge, velvet. You can also use a more light weight knit fabric, but keep in mind that you might need to size down if you choose to use a thinner fabric or a fabric type with more stretch than recommended.
For the bands you can choose to use either ribbing or use the same fabric as the shirt (main fabric). The Jaxx Shirt comes with pattern pieces for the different types of fabrics, but you might need to adjust depending on the amount of stretch and recovery if you choose a different type of fabric for the bands.
Blue Fab For You Patterns kids size chart
Jaxx has been designed according to the blue kids size chart. The pattern runs from size newborn (50) up to size 16y (176). Always measure your model and use trunk and inseam measurements to choose the correct length. When your model is on the higher end of the table, you might want to look for the Jaxx adult to find out if the grown up version will be a more durable purchase. Or check out the Jaxx Shirt bundle. This bundle keeps you covered for a lifetime.
