The Olivia peplum and dress is a fun PDF sewing pattern that lets you create a FAB peplum or dress with faux buttons from top to bottom and a full circle in peplum and a half circle skirt and a rounded gathered skirt for dress length. Choose to incorporate a bralette, inseam pockets and attach the straps the way you prefer: straight or crossed.

Olivia is interchangeable with Layana
The skirt of Olivia is interchangeable with Layana. Layana has a full circle skirt and a tiered ruffled skirt that you can mix-and match with Olivia.

Olivia is suitable for beginners. The hardest elements of the pattern are the button paths along the front of the bodice and skirt. However, every part of the construction is explained clearly and step by step in the instructions. Suggested material for the Olivia Peplum and Dress
To create an Olivia Peplum and Dress, we suggest to use medium weight knit fabrics with at least 30% stretch like: cotton lycra, jersey, interlock or French terry. You can also use a more light weight knit fabric like cotton spandex, but keep in mind that you might need to size down if you choose to use a thinner fabric or a fabric type with more stretch than recommended. Please keep in mind to use similar fabrics for the various colorblocks to create a nice garment. Using fabrics with different characteristics regarding stretch and weight can cause an imperfect outcome.
For the straps you can choose to use the same fabric as the dress (main fabric) or use ready-made elastic binding tape. The Olivia Peplum and Dress comes with pattern pieces for the different types of fabrics, but you might need to adjust depending on the amount of stretch and recovery if you choose a different type of fabric for the bands.
