Nina Wide Leg (NB-14Y)

The Nina wide leg is a fun and comfy wide leg pants designed for knit fabrics. The Nina wide leg pants aims for optimal wearing comfort to wear for endless hours of playing, going to school and chilling at home. Nina features an elastic waistband, a low or high yoga waistband and a elastic waistband with belt loops and belt or sash. The sides have a broad stripe which has an optional side pocket. Add the optional faux fly or leave it out for a quicker sew. Of course you can also add back pockets.

Suggested material for the Nina wide leg pants

For the Nina wide leg pants kids, we advise to use medium weight knit fabrics with at least 30% stretch like: cotton lycra, jersey, interlock or French terry. Keep in mind that you might need to size up if you choose to use a thicker fabric or a fabric type with less stretch than recommended.

For the waistband you can choose to use the same fabric as the pants (main fabric) to make an elasticated waistband. Please keep in mind that French terry isn’t suitable for the low or high yoga waistband. In that case you’ll need to use cotton lycra or jersey.

Nina has been designed according to the pink kids size chart. The pattern runs from size newborn (50) up to size 14y (164). Always measure your model and use trunk and inseam measurements to choose the correct length for rise and legs. When your model is on the higher end of the table, you might want to look at the size chart of the Nina adult to find out if the grown up version will be a better fit.
